Questions
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. It downloads a mobile data plan by QR code, so you can use local networks in South Africa without buying or inserting a physical SIM card.
Install it the day before you travel or just before departure, while you still have Wi-Fi at home. The plan's validity does not start until your phone connects to a supported network in South Africa.
Your plan starts when your phone first connects at your destination. Running low? Top up the same eSIM in a minute.
Regional and worldwide plans cover whole continents on a single profile, so a multi-country trip does not mean multiple purchases.
Your QR code is emailed the moment payment clears — not hours later, and not once you have already landed.
Install at home on Wi-Fi and the plan waits. Validity begins at your destination, not at the checkout.
Running low mid-trip? Add data to the eSIM you already have. No new QR code, nothing to set up again.

Most recent smartphones do, including iPhone XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. Your phone must also be unlocked. Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, your phone supports eSIM.
Yes. Top up the same eSIM from the top-up page using the ICCID from your delivery email. There is no new QR code to scan and nothing to reinstall.
