Questions
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. It downloads a mobile data plan by QR code, so you can use local networks in São Tomé and Príncipe without buying or inserting a physical SIM card.
Install it the day before you travel or just before departure, while you still have Wi-Fi at home. The plan's validity does not start until your phone connects to a supported network in São Tomé and Príncipe.
Your plan starts when your phone first connects at your destination. Running low? Top up the same eSIM in a minute.
Regional and worldwide plans cover whole continents on a single profile, so a multi-country trip does not mean multiple purchases.
Your QR code is emailed the moment payment clears — not hours later, and not once you have already landed.
Install at home on Wi-Fi and the plan waits. Validity begins at your destination, not at the checkout.
Running low mid-trip? Add data to the eSIM you already have. No new QR code, nothing to set up again.
Open your phone's cellular settings, choose the eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Your phone then connects to a supported local network automatically.
Most recent smartphones do, including iPhone XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. Your phone must also be unlocked. Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, your phone supports eSIM.
Yes. Top up the same eSIM from the top-up page using the ICCID from your delivery email. There is no new QR code to scan and nothing to reinstall.
